Cathy Verdicia Richards grew up in Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles. She received her BFA in Arts Management from C.W. Post LIU. As an Arts Administrator she has worked for the Cunningham Dance Foundation as the Office Manager and for Rena Shagan Associates as Director of Administration. See Arts Management Resume for more info. While making a career as an Arts Manager she continued to develop her skills as a performer. Her recent roles include a Corpse/ Angel in 1001 New York Nights/WALL presented at the Istanbul International Theatre Festival 2006, and a Goddess in Rumi's Math presented at the NY Fringe Festival 2004. Her choreography was showcased in Cool NY 2007 Festival, Galapagos - THROW, Chashama's OASIS 2006 and 2005 Festival, DUMBO 2005 Festival, Chashama's 2005 Outside Art Festival, Merce Cunningham Studio, Zone Chelsea Gallery, and Panetta Movement Center. She is a founding member of Filos Tanz, a Trio, and a member of Magnetic Laboratorium, and performed in their recent events, including M9 Colors presented at DTW. She is also a member of Stanley Love Performance Group and Canta Entertainment. She is grateful to her family and friends who continue to support her.
